I’ve been suffering GMail’s infamous Lockdown in sector 4! for almost a week now.
Probably the most disgraceful behaviour you can expect from an online app, hijacking your own valuable data without a half decent explanation. All attempts to report the problem have been received with an automated response at best. Simply unacceptable.
It seems to happen mostly on Firefox, even with all add-ons disabled, including GreaseMonkey. I’ve created a new account and it also got locked within minutes.
I have no other option but to stop using GMail. Please redirect all emails to my papervision3d.org or carlosulloa.com accounts as you see fit.

Really cool nanofilm by my friends at Estudios Galápago from Alcoy, a little town in Spain.
I’ve been following their excellent commercial work as medios y proyectos for quite a while, amazed by their attention to detail and flawless execution, which has earned them a nomination for the 17th Flashforward Film Festival.
But their personal work is quite special, featuring beautiful artwork and delicate animation and sound, coupled with a twisted sense of humour.

I’m very excited to participate in Flashforward2007 Boston.
My presentation, imaginatively called Papervision3D is geared toward anyone involved in the process of creating web content, who wants to take their work to a whole new dimension of graphics realism.
It will cover the work of the project’s development team, our current direction and goals, but it’s main focus will be the integration of the third dimension into today’s websites.
Design implications will be discussed as well as the different approaches considered and the production workflow of a selection of examples from my commercial work.
I’m also looking forward to the 17th Flashforward Film Festival, where Papervision3D has been chosen as a finalist in the 3D category and I’m a member of the jury for Experience & Navigation.

On Thursday June 21st, Ricardo Cabello and myself will be presenting Papervision3D: Getting Started at the London Flash Platform User Group.
This session builds from the ground up, giving you the introductory knowledge of how to create interactive 3D pieces in ActionScript.
Basic concepts will be covered, illustrated with examples from our personal portfolio, and commercial work as mrdoob and carlosulloa.com.
My first Papervision3D presentation at LFPUG back in January was great fun. Look forward to see you there.

I want to congratulate my friends at OgilvyInteractive Madrid for their silver award at El Sol 2008 festival, that’s held in the beautiful city of San Sebastián (Donostia).
Papanoeldigame.com is quite a unique piece that connects the telephone and the Internet. This is a Christmas greeting that allows users to talk to Santa Claus on the phone while they watch him on the screen. All happens in real time, and the experience is quite unique, particularly for children.
You can try go get through (lines are sometimes still busy) or watch a demo here.
Really nice work from Chus, Chuwi and Txivi.

I’m very excited to participate in Web Flash Festival in Paris.
I’ll be presenting Papervision3D on May 26th at the Centre Pompidou. I will also take part in a Cadavre Exquis de Code and join the jury for the experimental category.
I haven’t been to La Ville-lumière since the French World Cup, and really look forward to this one.

I left Hi-ReS! at the end of March, looking forward to start working on my own and hopefully be able to dedicate more time to Papervision3D.
For my new commercial endeavours, I have created carlosulloa.com and blog.carlosulloa.com.
This blog and Noventaynueve.com will now focus on my personal work.

I’m very happy to be presenting Papervision3D at FITC Toronto.
I look forward to meet many people I’ve been getting to know lately. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
